Singing for their Supper

Here you can listen to an audio recording of fifth graders in Ms. Springer's class.  They are demonstrating singing a partner song. This particular partner song has three separate parts that include "Sweet Potatoes," "Mango Walk," and a countermelody. Today, you will hear the class singing two different melodies at the same time. We are working toward performing three separate melodies at the same time in future weeks!

Staying Warm with Some Cool Calypso

In learning about partner songs this quarter, fifth graders also learned how to dance the calypso to the melody "Mango Walk." "Mango Walk" is a tradition song from Jamaica.
